Clients who wanted a home, a housing development, a school, a church or a medical/ dental clinic complex would be interviewed, usually in the evening in this living room, by Neutra and his colleagues. Neutra often used a detailed questionnaire and took careful notes of the clients' programmatic needs. About 300 projects were designed here. Clients included: educator Nora Sterry , who helped Neutra design the first modern school in Los Angeles in 1935 TV evangelist Robert Shuller for whom Neutra designed a drive-in church in 1961 To see images of many Neutra houses click here.
